I can’t breath, Ohio Man Dies After Police Restraint, Evokes Memories of George Floyd
Canton, Ohio, USA – April 27, 2024 – A Black man in Ohio has died after a police encounter in Canton, reigniting memories of the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2020. body camera footage released by the Canton Police Department shows officers apprehending 53-year-old Frank Tyson, who was suspected of leaving the scene of a car accident.
The video depicts officers pinning Mr. Tyson to the ground and handcuffing him while he can be heard repeatedly saying “I can’t breathe.” The official cause of death is yet to be determined.
